What will I learn?

Summary

The Diploma of Business Analytics introduces you to the fundamental concepts of accounting, business statistics, computer programming, database design and management.

The diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. If you successfully complete the diploma and meet the entry requirements, you can progress directly into the second year of the following degrees without losing any time, as you'll receive credit for the units you complete in the diploma: Bachelor of Business Analytics, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Information Technology.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for admission to a Macquarie University College pathway program, international students require the completion of either:

  • senior secondary studies equivalent to an Australian Year 12 senior secondary qualification (HSC or equivalent) for admission to Intensive Program or Diploma programs

English language requirements

  • IELTS Academic - IELTS of 6.0 overall with minimum 5.5 in each band, or equivalent
  • TOEFL iBT - 73 (Reading - 12; Writing - 19; Listening - 11; Speaking - 16)
  • PTE Academic - 52 minimum 46 in each band, or equivalent
  • Cambridge English (C1A or C2P) - 169 minimum 162 in each band, or equivalent
  • Occupational English Test (OET) - C in each band
  • Duolingo English Test (DET) - 105 minimum 100 in each band, or equivalent
