What will I learn?

The Graduate Certificate in Food Science allows you to explore food science, manufacturing and quality assurance through a course of advanced subjects.

The graduate certificate is designed for students who want to prepare for a career in the food and associated industries through study in food chemistry, processing, food safety and microbiology. Graduates of this course can also enter the Graduate Diploma in Food Science with full credit. This will give you the opportunity to gain a more comprehensive understanding of food science. Prepare yourself for a career in food: You could enter careers in sourcing quality ingredients, helping to regulate food safety or maintaining quality in food manufacturing. Boost your career with industry-relevant electives: Modern scientific workplaces require workers with a range of skills and capabilities beyond the lab. Entry requirements

For international students

In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed: an undergraduate degree in any discipline with at least an H3 (65%) weighted average, or equivalent.

English language requirements:

IELTS (academic English Only): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL Internet-based test: 79 + ; Writing 21; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13;
Pearson Test of English Academic: 58 + no communicative skill below 50
Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 + no skill below 169.
