What will I learn?

The Master of Engineering Management is co-developed with Melbourne Business School to offer world-leading business study opportunities to engineering students.

Be guided in developing your technical problem-solving skills and the business skills needed to manage people, projects and resources in complex organisational settings. Understand the legal, commercial and marketing issues from a management perspective.

You may also be eligible for advanced standing into the Master of Management if you choose to continue your business studies.

The Master of Engineering Management prepares you to lead engineering projects and personnel in a broad range of technical fields, including product development, manufacturing, construction, design engineering, software engineering and telecommunications.

Gain access to advanced and senior roles in management, human resources, finance, quality assurance, education, contract arbitration and policy development within technically-focused organisations.

Entry requirements

For international students

A four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in engineering or appropriate discipline, with: A Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65% (or equivalent).

A three-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline, with A WAM of at least 65% (or equivalent), and At least two years of continuous documented work experience in a relevant field (or equivalent).

With a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%) average, or equivalent

English language requirements:

IELTS (academic English Only): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL Internet-based test: 79 + ; Writing 21; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13;
Pearson Test of English Academic: 58 + no communicative skill below 50
Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 + no skill below 169.
