What will I learn?

Explore the range of psychiatric disorders that you will see in clinical practice and develop an in-depth understanding of the nature of these and how to effectively recognise and treat them. For non-psychiatry medical professionals looking to upskill, the Master offers many opportunities to build your knowledge and gain accreditation, CPD and training across an array of mental health issues. A Master qualification is also essential if you wish to pursue a PhD in the area.

Entry requirements

For international students

In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed: either

a postgraduate coursework Doctor of Medicine, or
an undergraduate degree in medicine, or equivalent; and

at least one year of documented experience as a practising doctor; and

hold current medical registration in the country where the applicant is working.

English language requirements:

IELTS (academic English Only): 7.0 (written 7.0 and no band less than 7.0)
TOEFL Internet-based test: 94 + ; Writing 27; Speaking 24; Reading 24; Listening 24;
Pearson Test of English Academic: 65 + no communicative skill below 65
Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 185 + no skill below 185.
