What will I learn?

An honours degree gives you the highest level of certification possible within the BBA. Not only does this earn you a special Honours parchment, but it speaks loud and clear to employers about your abilities and dedication to do advance research in your chosen field.

The Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours provides students the opportunity to undertake applied business research. Students who complete this program will learn to work independently with a high standard of competency in the business environment. The Honours program requires students to acquire sophisticated analytical and communication skills.

Program Outline

To qualify for the honours degree students must complete BUAD 492 with a minimum grade of 76% and graduate from the BBA program with a minimum graduating grade average of 76%. This program is offered partially at Vernon, Penticton and Salmon Arm campuses. Please note, the first and second years of the BBA program are offered fully at the Vernon, Penticton and Salmon Arm campuses. However, the program can only be completed in full in Kelowna.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants have secondary graduation (or equivalent) or are currently enrolled in Grade 12.

English requirements

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 79 (Internet-based), or 213 (computer-based), or 550 (paper-based).
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS - academic version): Overall band score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0)
  • Pearson Test English (Academic): Overall score 58 No Communicative Skills score lower than 55
  • Duolingo English Test: Overall score 110.
