If you鈥檙e curious about the social-psychological aspects of recreation, sports, and physical activity, UNB鈥檚 Bachelor of Recreation and Sport Studies program is designed for you. This four-year program balances theory and hands-on practice. With options for honours, directed studies, and exciting work placements, the BRSS will prepare you for a meaningful career of creating, managing, and executing programs that contribute to healthy communities and healthy lives.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must complete high school for admission to the University of New Brunswick. They must complete six specific high school courses, according to their program of choice. UNB takes the overall average of the high school grades achieved in these six courses to calculate the student鈥檚 "minimum admission average", which is used to determine admissibility.

Course requirements:

Senior English Literature (60% or higher)

Senior Math, including Pre-Calculus

1 other academic maths

1 of Senior Biology, Senior Chemistry or Senior Physics

2 electives from group 1

1 elective from group 1, 2, 3 or 5

Minimum admission average: 75%

The University of New Brunswick accepts qualified applicants from all countries. Entry requirements may vary from country to country.

International students require the following English language proficiency minimum scores for direct entry into most academic programs: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 85, CAEL 60, or Pearson Vue Test 59.
