Bio-Psychology examines the human body and human behavior. This interdisciplinary program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers or post-graduate studies in neuroscience, human biology, medicine, dentistry or pharmacy.
In your first year you will take introductory courses in a cross section of science disciplines. These survey courses serve as the foundation for upper level study.
A major in Biology-Psychology will include studies in specialized topics such as perception, animal learning, cognition, social and developmental psychology, microbiology, genetics, physiology and more.
Elective courses in the humanities and social sciences, and in particular English and French are highly recommended if you plan to apply to a graduate professional program such as medical or dental school.

Students must complete high school for admission to the University of New Brunswick. They must complete six specific high school courses, according to their program of choice. UNB takes the overall average of the high school grades achieved in these six courses to calculate the student鈥檚 "minimum admission average", which is used to determine admissibility.

Senior English Literature
Senior Math, including Pre-Calculus
1 other academic maths
Senior Chemistry
1 of Senior Physics, Senior Biology or Senior Geology (Senior Physics is required for entry into Health Sciences)
1 elective from group 1 or 2
Minimum admission average: 75% (The average marks in Pre-Calculus Math, Chemistry and the best other Science course must be at least 75 %.)
