The Construction Standards certificate program is a full-time, 1 year program providing a strong practical foundation in construction management. The certificate program includes the seven core competencies to satisfy the educational requirements for applying for a builder licence with BC Housing.

Successful completion of BC Grade 12 or equivalent (i.e., 12 years of formal education).
See a listing of acceptable international credentials. Students must meet the minimum grade requirements listed for their corresponding country documents to be eligible for admission.
Applicants must submit official transcripts/marksheets/academic records that show all the subjects taken and grades obtained for the last two years of secondary school studies. If the date of graduation is not shown on the transcript, proof of graduation such as a graduation certificate or a graduation statement issued by the appropriate educational authorities.
Note: Official post-secondary transcripts may be used in lieu of secondary school transcripts (Bachelor Degree completion documents and transcripts).
Official English translations of the above documents must also be submitted if the original documents are not written in English.
