Alongside professors who are some of the world's best in their disciplines, you will embark on a major research program exploring a specific aspect of forestry or environmental management. You will be able to tailor your research to whatever you are passionate about, including forest management, natural disturbance, silviculture, climate change, soil science, water quality management, wildlife conservation, and much more.
You will develop a research proposal based on your interests, and complete a thesis and an approved course program. The PhD program generally takes a minimum of three years of full time study. You have the option of studying full-time or part-time.

PhD applicants must hold a Master's degree in a recognized field, or have an excellent honours undergraduate degree.
International applicants whose first language is not English must submit language scores that meet or exceed international English language testing system (IELTS) band 7.
Internet Based TOEFL (Minimum score of 80) including the Test of Written English - TWE (minimum score of 25)
