What will I learn?

With Masseys Bachelor of Construction (Construction Management), you will be able to make your mark on this growing industry. Most of our students have a cadet position before they have finished their degree. The Bachelor of Construction (Construction Management) will help you make an impact in the building industry, from design to project completion. Youll learn how to contribute to client needs assessment and how to offer advice on resolving buildability issues at the design stage. Youll plan, schedule, and organise for implementation of new builds, refurbishments and conversions. Youll learn how to make sure that things stay on track 鈥� financially, quality and time-wise and that you are meeting legal requirements. You can follow your passion and create your own niche. For instance, you may be interested in sustainable construction, or you could be an advocate for obligations for social and environmental friendliness in buildings.

Entry requirements

For international students

All students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University. To be admitted to an undergraduate qualification, you will need a minimum level of academic achievement from school, or another university or tertiary institution.

Specific requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, outside of university admission regulations.

If you do not have a strong background in mathematics, but do have an entrance qualification, then you will likely need to take an additional maths course at foundation level, either before or during the first year of your degree.

International English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS - 6.0 overall and minimum 5.5 in each band
  • TOEFL iBT - Overall score 80, minimum 19 in Writing
  • Cambridge English - B2 First, or B2 First for schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill.
  • NCEL - Level 4 (Academic)
  • PTE - 50 overall and minimum 42 in each communicative skills
  • LanguageCert - C1 Expert IESOL (LRWS) with PASS and no less than Pass in each skill
