What will I learn?

The construction industry is taking off and it needs more quantity surveyors to control project costs and keep things on track. This is an ideal career for people who love details – especially calculating and measuring., Its a bit like accounting but youll be working on physical projects while theyre being constructed, so things will constantly change providing new challenges to keep things fresh., There's a lot of office work but also plenty of scope to visit building sites to monitor progress before releasing payments. Communication and negotiation skills are also required to ensure everyone stays committed to the task at hand., On this diploma youll learn about construction principles and methods, building legislation, conflict management, contract conditions and administration, estimating material and labour costs, tender bidding, report writing and environmental sustainability, and building economies., Our tutors are experts in their field and the delivery methods ensure youll get all the support you need to succeed., If youre good with details and enjoy planning, organising and seeing a project through to the end, this is the course for you.
