What will I learn?

Like most general Arts qualifications, there is a wide range of subject choice available at UC, with more than 30 subjects on offer 鈥 from Anthropology to Te Reo M膩ori.a combination of different courses either in different subject areas, or a mix of courses in one subject area with an internship or digital humanities project added, to enhance employment skills and applied learning experiences.PGCertArts students will be introduced to sophisticated subject matter and develop skills in the critical evaluation of academic literature in their discipline or area of specialisation. They will also foster high-level skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and communication.Postgraduate study can bring many career benefits eg, specialist skills and enhanced knowledge, entry into specific occupations, higher starting salary/progression rates, research capability/achievement, and evidence of high academic attainment/self-discipline.

Entry requirements

For international students

A Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree, with grades to a specified level in your intended subject, is required for the PGCertArts.

Applicants must also satisfy our English language entry requirements:

IELTS (Academic): An average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
TOEFL (IBT): Total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening.
PTE (Pearson Test of English - Academic): PTE with an overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50.

Applications after the deadline date (8 December) will be considered if places are available.
