What will I learn?

Enhance your undergraduate qualification with specialised knowledge to enable progression into an engineering masters programme. This qualification gives students who have completed a three-year engineering degree the opportunity to build on their previous skills, and understand the principles, concepts and ideas that underpin a chosen specialisation. It is designed to provide a pathway to further study in a masters programme. You can complete a Master of Engineering Studies in Construction Management. Radical changes in the building industry have led to a demand for professionals with a new set of knowledge, skills and capabilities. This programme aims to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the construction management discipline so you are able to meet current industry demands. The subjects that will impart this understanding include Construction Supply Chain Management, Infrastructure Asset Management and Engineering Contracts for Projects. The aim is to build your confidence for working in an industry known for its dynamic, complex and unpredictable nature.

Taught 120 points

You must have completed an Engineering degree or an undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Architecture, Geology, or Physics. Your study must have been at a recognised university (or similar institution), and you will need a GPE of 3.0.

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
