Rooted in creative thinking and self-expression and accompanied by a good technical knowledge of current industry practices, you will learn skills in script writing, character design, storyboarding, animating, VFX and compositing, editing and sound design. The course is taught by current practising professionals and is supported by fantastic animation facilities and dedicated studios catering for CGI, stop frame, 2D, illustrative, set building, model-making and sound recording, editing and sound design - all supported with the latest animation software, including Toon Boom and Dragonframe. Animation is flourishing due to government support and, thanks to the Universitys proximity to MediaCityUK, theres no better place to study animation.
