Business Management with Analytics - BA (Hons)

UK

What will I learn?

We live in a data-driven world, and acquiring the skills and knowledge to interpret that data is crucial for businesses to make informed decisions. Here at Keele, our Business Management with Analytics BSc programme aims to support you in working towards an exciting future in this dynamic sector.

You will gain key business management knowledge, covering areas such as business operations, strategy, leadership, marketing and human resource management. Your experience with business analytics will be developed by focusing on data visualisation, advanced analytics, business intelligence and programming for business analytics. We will also help you develop essential skills in data analysis and interpretation, statistical modelling and forecasting, and programming for data manipulation and analysis.

Practical, career-focused teaching and learning ensures that you can apply the theory youre learning to real-world scenarios that will build your expertise and confidence. We will also get you thinking about sustainability and business ethics so when you begin work or start your own business you can be a force for good in the world.

Our built-in Professional and Academic Development Programme spans your entire degree. Designed to fully prepare you for securing a great job or starting a business, you will develop your professional skills, creativity, confidence, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Our aim? To ensure you graduate with clear goals and impressive experiences to show future employers or investors. Youll benefit from Keele Business Schools strong industry connections, placement or entrepreneurship opportunities, hands-on practical experiences, and invaluable real-world insights such as through our Global Challenge Pathways.

Work placement year

In an increasingly competitive job market, employers are seeking to recruit employees who have high-level knowledge, skills and an understanding of the workplace. Choosing a work placement year between your second and third year is a fantastic way to gain industry experience. It can provide a valuable insight into what working in a specific area of business is like, and gives you the chance to familiarise yourself with the professional working environment and develop professional networks. A work placement also provides you with the opportunity to apply the theory you have learnt on your degree course.

Entrepreneurship year

Showcase your innovative abilities and ideas to develop your business aspirations. If youve ever wanted to establish your own start-up or have been inspired by your studies this entrepreneurship year is an amazing opportunity to develop your own business idea.

The entrepreneurship pathway is available to UK and international students. For international students, the availability of the entrepreneurship pathway is subject to the latest visa regulations.

Our Foundation Year provides an excellent alternative route to Keele, providing a unique opportunity to better prepare for your chosen degree, and with guaranteed entry onto your undergraduate course once you successfully complete your Foundation Year.

This extra year of study can improve your academic skills, expand your subject knowledge, give you a better understanding of higher education and, perhaps most importantly of all, build your confidence.
