What will I learn?

This programme prepares a new professional workforce of highly-skilled, creative and adaptable experts, with tacit and explicit knowledge in design, engineering, material behaviour, analogue and digital craft and advanced systems operations. Learning throughout this programme is structured around design, fabrication and testing. Students learn to locate their work in the historical and theoretical context of design for manufacture, and select from a range of analogue and digital skills that they wish to develop, progressing to undertaking advanced design, research and fabrication projects with support from leading academics and professionals.

Careers

Graduates are likely to progress to further study and teaching, or roles in design and the built environment with some of the world's leading architecture, engineering and construction companies.

Entry requirements

For international students

A minimum of a second-class UK degree in an appropriate subject or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Applicants with extensive experience in the field may also be considered. A design/creative portfolio is also expected. Applicants will be asked to submit a portfolio of their design work once their completed application has been received, and should not send or upload work until it has been requested.Overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 92 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
