Do you enjoy learning about the science of food and nutrition and its application to the promotion of health and wellbeing, as well as its clinical application and therapeutic effects in treating disease? Then studying for a MSc Dietetics (pre-registration) may just be the right course for you. The title 'dietitian' is the only food and nutrition title that is protected by law. This is an exciting and innovative course where you will learn the underpinning dietetic knowledge, skills and values and behaviours fundamental to dietetic practice.
This course gives graduates eligibility to apply for registration as a dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and enter the workforce as a registered Allied Health Professional. Dietitians are well placed to address many of the diet-related diseases facing both the UK and global population, including obesity, diabetes and malnutrition, as well as leading on cutting-edge developments in food and nutrition such as diet and sustainability, personalised nutrition and digital dietetics. The course is also seeking accreditation from the British Dietetic Association (BDA), the professional body for dietitians.
