What will I learn?

The world around us is changing – and our environmental science degree will help you understand how. Youll learn the skills and knowledge to measure, model and assess environmental change and its impacts. Developed in conjunction with employers, including environmental agencies and private businesses, this is a programme with real-world relevance, built around developing the techniques and expertise youll find in the workplace.The course combines aspects of physical and life sciences, helping you build an understanding of environmental issues today. Youll also gain a wide range of practical and analytical skills, working in the lab and the field. By the time you graduate, youll be able to collect, process and analyse data from a range of sources across different scientific disciplines – giving you the understanding to make informed recommendations in a professional context.

Entry requirements

For international students

104-112 UCAS Tariff points A levels ­– grades BCC or equivalent, to include grade C or above in one of the following subjects: Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry or Physics. INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE POINTS Pass the IB Diploma with minimum 26 points overall or 104 UCAS Tariff points from three Higher Level subjects, including HL5 in Geography, Environmental Systems and Societies, Biology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics. If you plan to meet the Level 2 course requirements through your IB Diploma you will need to achieve Higher Level 4 or Standard Level 5 in English and Higher Level 4 or Standard Level 4 in Mathematics. IELTS SCORE REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5, taken within two years of course start date IELTS 6.0, with no component below 5.5 TOEFL IBT Overall score: 79 With no individual test score below: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing : 17
