Industry projects will help to consider different market levels, from high street to designer. The short work placement will enable you to experience the reality of working within a particular company. You can also make useful contacts for your future career. This involvement with industry and society is essential to a designer. Students on this course will also have the opportunity to enter national and international design competitions. You will be encouraged to develop your individual identity through your work. You will combine your design direction, your excellent craft skills and your knowledge of technological developments. You will understand every aspect of a garment through both the creative detail and the technical skills used in production. By the end of this course you will be equipped with the knowledge to respond creatively to a design brief within the womenswear market.
