What will I learn?

Our Food Science (Food Biotechnology) MSc engages with issues at the very forefront of modern food production. Not only will you advance your knowledge of crucial areas within food science, health and sustainability, but you’ll also explore the origins of biotechnology, the legislation and social issues related to biotechnology in food and modern bioanalytical methods in biotechnology and food safety.

You’ll study in our School of Food Science and Nutrition at Leeds, which is home to world-leading research that has impacted key areas in the food industry. Entry requirements

For international students

A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a relevant subject such as (but not limited to) geography, computer science, geology, earth science, environmental studies or other appropriate numerate/computer science subject. Previous employment /working experience will be considered in lieu of/in addition to qualifications if appropriate. IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component. TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) or TOEFL iBT Home Edition at 88 overall with no less than 19 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing.
