What will I learn?

Introduction

Study our MA Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in Cambridge, a city famous for language teaching, and boost your career prospects with new critical and analytical skills. How you'll be assessed

You will show your understanding of the theoretical issues explored on the course and their practical application through various methods, including portfolios, classroom observation tasks and critical essays. At the end of the course, you will also research and complete a 15,000-word major project.

Entry requirements

For international students

For entry into a postgraduate taught course you'll need one of the following. A UK honours degree with lower second class honours (2:2). Relevant qualifications obtained in your home country, as per Anglia Ruskin's country-specific entry requirements. Our standard entry criteria for postgraduate courses is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with nothing lower than 5.5 in any of the four elements (listening, speaking, reading and writing). TOEFL iBT with 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
