What will I learn?

About the programme

This one-year Masters programme aims to bring together early-career theatre practitioners to develop new theatre and performance work. These practitioners include:

Designers
Sound Designers
Lighting Designers
Production Managers
Stage Managers
Video Designers
Directors
Writers
All-round theatre-makers

Students work together in creative teams on an exciting and varied array of theatre projects. The programme is not intended to deliver core technical skills, but rather to develop your theatre making abilities, exploring your potential as a creative artist and enabling you to work with other students on a series of collaborative projects.

Final assessment

Final assessment will include a folio which will illustrate the individual鈥檚 contribution to the various projects they have engaged with over the year.

Entry requirements

For international students

The minimum entry requirement for applicants for the programme is an upper second-class honours degree in a subject relevant to the applicant鈥檚 area of professional interest (or equivalent). Applicants who are not native speakers of English should have achieved a minimum overall score of 7.0 in the IELTS Academic Training examination with no individual component score below 6.0 (or equivalent). TOEFL iBT: Overall score: 95 (Listening - 17; Reading - 18; Speaking - 20; Writing - 17).
