What will I learn?

Overview

The division of medicine comprises of six research departments and institutes whose research aims to understand the basis of disease, and to develop better diagnostics and treatment for diseases. Each research department and institute comprises a number of specialist centres, each with a particular research focus.

Careers

Recent graduates have taken up clinical, academic, postdoctoral and scientific advisory positions in the public and private sectors, nationally and internationally.

Employability

UCL has an impressive graduate employment rate with approximately 90% of alumni in employment or further study six months after graduating (HESA, 2010). In addition to the immediate career prospects, alumni have progressed to positions in leadership in many areas including academia, the health services and industry.

Entry requirements

For international students

A first or an upper second-class UK Bachelor鈥檚 degree in an appropriate subject, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard from a university or educational institution of university rank, or a recognised taught Master鈥檚 degree. Overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 92 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
