OVERVIEW

This degree will prepare you to kickstart your career as a midwife, enabling you upon graduation to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Midwives provide care and support to women and their families during all stages of pregnancy, including delivery of new life and, labour and the early postnatal period. This programme follows the Standards for Pre-Registration Midwifery programmes set by the NMC.

YOUR FUTURE CAREER

You will become a professional midwife registered with the NMC. Later on, after gaining experience, you can become a midwife consultant and other different routes will open to you, such as education and specialised roles.
