What will I learn?

  • Become an autonomous practitioner, improving your research, leadership skills and ability to implement service developments.

This MSc can be used as evidence of your development within a scope of practice and is completed in partnership with your employer. You'll develop as a Radiotherapy and/ or Oncology Advanced Practitioner enhancing your clinical, leadership, research and education skills, linking with the Multi professional framework for Advanced Clinical Practice.

How you learn

All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.

The modules on this course are designed to encourage you to critically reflect on your role and further enhance your knowledge, skills and behaviours as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

You鈥檒l gain knowledge and skills around expert practice, leadership, ethical and legal elements of the field. You鈥檒l also develop your research skills to improve patient care. Elective modules allow you to personalise your study to your career needs.

Your distance learning will be supported by your module leader. You鈥檒l undertake regular e-tivities and peer feedback.

Entry requirements

For international students

You must hold a degree in a related health care subject, for example BSc (Hons) Radiotherapy and Oncology or Therapeutic Radiography or a Diploma of the College of Radiographers (T). If English is not your first language or you are an international student studying with us you must have an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each skill area. TOEFL iBT (Including TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition) with Overall: 90 in Listening: 17, Speaking: 20, Reading: 18 and Writing: 17
