What will I learn?

Run with our partner Diploma MSc, the MSc Endocrinology is an online master鈥檚 course that is practical and clinically focused. Course content and structure are designed to create professionals with greater confidence and understanding of the management of patients with endocrine disorders, through case studies and discussion. This online course will develop the skills to access information independently and use it to critically assess, evaluate and disseminate evidence that is related to endocrine care.

We help you develop creative, problem-solving approaches to complex clinical situations, and become an important advocate in the delivery of care to people with endocrinology-related problems. It is envisaged that most students will be in endocrine-related posts or aspire to such positions. As such, this Endocrinology qualification has direct relevance to the demands of working roles, so it will assist in your career development and specialisation.

We intend to deliver our courses in a blended format; with a proportion of the teaching and learning being delivered digitally, and where it is safe to do so, some teaching and learning being delivered in person and using social distancing and/or mitigating measures as deemed appropriate in line with government guidance.

Assessment

Students are expected in the first 8 weeks to interact with their tutor on a weekly basis. Students select a specific project and submit a project summary/proposal (approximately 1,500 words).

Careers

This course provides appropriate post-qualification preparation for roles in endocrine related specialist teams, specialist nursing, practice nursing, and for allied health professionals aiming to provide endocrine-related services in primary care.

Similarly, pharmaceutical companies are keen to support their representatives in postgraduate education and this qualification should be perceived favourably in career progression and specialisation.
