What will I learn?

At Brunel, youll learn through an equal balance of theory and practice, gaining your professional experience in a variety of healthcare settings where youll work closely with other healthcare professionals, service users and their families. On this programme, youll learn to care for adults with acute / long-term illnesses and youll prepare to play a vital role in health promotion and disease prevention. Through your programme in adult nursing, youll learn to understand the health needs of patients aged 18 and over within public health, community development and global agendas. Youll be supported in developing the personal skills necessary for the nursing profession.Careers and your futureOpportunities for graduates of the adult nursing pathway are continually expanding both here and overseas. You may choose to work in a busy hospital ward with your own caseload, work in a prison or in one of the expanding primary health care areas such as a large health centre or specialist team. Nurses are leading care innovation in many specialist areas such as intensive care, trauma nursing, cancer care and care of the older adult. You may aspire towards becoming a Nurse Consultant where youll be leading, researching and making significant changes to practice. Entry requirements

For international students

GCE A Level ABB-BBC. BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DMM in Health & Social Care, Applied Science, Sport. BTEC Level 3 Diploma DM in Health & Social Care, Applied Science, Sport with an A Level at grade C in Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Applied Science, Physics . BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Merit in Health & Social Care, Applied Science, Sport, with two A Levels at grades BB in any subject. International Baccalaureate Diploma 29 points. Access to Higher Education Diploma Obtain a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points in the Access to HE Diploma with 45 credits at Level 3. Subjects accepted : Health Science, Health and Human Sciences, Health Professions, Health and Social Care, Health Studies, Medicine, Medical Science, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Science, Science in Health Professions T levels : Merit overall and grade C in A level Science subject (Health, Healthcare Science and Science) Five GCSEs at grade C or grade 4 or above are also required, including English Language, Maths and Science. IELTS - overall 6.0 (Minimum 5.5 in all subscores) TOEFL IBT - 77 (min R18, L17, S20, W17 - depending on course)
