Providing care for children, young people, and their families, child nursing is a rewarding career choice. If you feel you could provide committed, compassionate, and professional care to those who need it most, our Nursing (Blended Learning) Child BSc(Hons) course could be the right degree for you. You鈥檒l learn in an innovative environment, supported by experienced practitioners and tutors, and the course provides a flexible way, via digital technologies, to study; you are required to attend campus for a maximum of 20 days per year. The degree is for those in North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, Cheshire and Merseyside, North West, Cumbria or North Lincolnshire. If you are located outside these areas, please visit Health Education England for information on your nearest course provider. **Why Study Nursing (Blended Learning) Child BSc(Hons) at University of Huddersfield?** During your studies, you鈥檒l develop and put your clinical skills to the test, in a safe environment in our fully equipped, simulated children鈥檚 ward using patient simulators. You鈥檒l practise your skills in acute settings, including children's wards, children鈥檚 hospitals, accident and emergency departments, and neonatal intensive care. You'll be taught by a team who understand what it is like be a child nurse and are able to demonstrate the latest techniques and procedures, supporting you to put these skills into practice. You鈥檒l learn online through seminars and group work, and you can become part of an online community, showcasing your work, establishing relationships with tutors, and collaborating with peers. You can also borrow a clinical skills kit, familiarising yourself with some fundamental equipment you may use in practice. You鈥檒l also learn through independent, self-directed study, developing confidence in your self-discipline and organisational skills. In 2024, the University鈥檚 new Daphne Steele Building opens on the site of the National Health Innovation campus; our child nursing students will benefit from specialist clinical teaching facilities and world-leading research facilities.
