What will I learn?

From teaching that draws on scenarios from the sport engineering industry to being involved in research from day one – you’ll experience teaching firmly focused on the real world. The sport engineering industry looks to help solve problems associated with sport, health and exercise. It is a relatively new but rapidly expanding area which is attracting large interest and investment from professional sports clubs, sportswear and equipment manufacturers as well as health and wellbeing app and wearable technology developers. Our industry projects and annual Grand Challenge are great ways to apply your skills and develop hands-on experience valued by employers. You will present your results at an end of year show before focusing on your individual research project.Your individual project is part of the Masters level modules for the MEng qualification – developing your knowledge at the next level. We take this approach to make you think, work and behave like a professional engineer. Thanks to our fantastic industry links in the sport and well-being sector, we bring sport engineering off the page.**Accreditation**Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. This course is recognised by CDIO, a framework that has a project based learning approach.
