What will I learn?

It鈥檚 hard to find an industry that digital technology has changed more rapidly than communications. The ever-expanding capabilities of design software and applications are pushing the envelope of what is possible in video, audio and print production.

Butler offers both a two-year associate degree in Media Arts and a one-year certification. You鈥檒l have the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals and work in studios equipped with the latest video and graphic design tools. The learning experience is very much hands-on, offering plenty of real-world assignments that develop your creative problem-solving skills and help you reach an advanced level of competence with the technology. And because many of today鈥檚 professionals in digital media work independently, we鈥檒l even prepare you to run your own business in our Entrepreneurship class.

Career opportunities in this field are growing as rapidly as the technology itself. If you like the idea of a career where you are constantly learning, growing and working on the leading edge of technology鈥檚 most creative applications, we invite you to study Digital Media.

Your degree in Digital Media can lead to a career in:

  • 2D Animation
