The Data Analytics and Software Development program prepares students to become data practitioners in public and private sector roles such as programmer/analysts, data analysts, and business analysts. The program also delivers a strong foundation for students planning on continuing their education in the Information Technology-Software Development, BAS (applied baccalaureate) degree program at Green River College.

Program Outcomes

Successful graduates of the program should be able to:

  • Solve data-related problems using a programming language.
  • Extract data from a database using a relational database language.
  • Demonstrate the ability to acquire, clean, and prepare data for analysis.
  • Perform basic data analysis techniques such as filtering, aggregation, and joins.
  • Produce and interpret data visualizations to describe, explore, and communicate insights from data.
