Associate in Arts (A.A.) - Dance

USA

1

What will I learn?

Butler鈥檚 Dance Department offers beginning and advanced classes in most styles of dance including Tap, Jazz, Modern and Ballet. Students interested in dance as a career are encouraged to assist or teach in private or public dance studios under the Cooperative Education or internship programs. Public recitals by Tap, Ballet, Modern, and Jazz classes are presented twice each year. All dance students participate.

There is a very practical benefit to studying dance. It teaches the art of presentation, the skills of critical thinking and innovation, and the ability to work effectively as a part of a team. But learning to master the grace and athleticism of the art is an experience that is truly unique and rewarding in itself.

Your degree in Dance can lead to a career in:

  • Choreography
  • Dance Therapy
  • Education
  • Performance Arts
  • Theatre
