What will I learn?

This program lets you start undergraduate studies at ASU while you raise your English proficiency and academic grades. You’ll take a combination of English language and academic courses, and receive extra support to prepare you for degree-level study in the USA. By successfully completing ASU-USA Pathways, you will earn transferable credits and are guaranteed admission to selected ASU majors.

Entry requirements

For international students

Entry to 3.5-semester extended pathway program: completion of high school with GPA 2.00

Entry to 3-semester pathway program: completion of high school with GPA 2.50 or top 35% of high school class

Entry to 1-semester pathway program: completion of high school with GPA 2.75 and no mathematics competency deficiencies

Progression to Global Management and Arts and Sciences majors:

– From 1-semester pathway: GPA 2.75 in credit courses, with no grades below a C

– From 3-semester or 3.5-semester extended pathway: GPA 2.50 in credit courses, with no grades below a C

Progression to BA degrees in W. P. Carey School of Business:

– From 1-semester pathway: GPA 3.25 in credit courses, with no grades below a B

– From 3-semester pathway: GPA 3.00 in credit courses, with no grades below a C

Progression to BS Accountancy:

– From 1-semester pathway: GPA 3.25 in credit courses, with no grades below a B. Additionally, SAT score 1230 or ACT score 25.

– From 3-semester pathway: GPA 3.00 in credit courses, with no grades below a C. Additionally, SAT score 1230 or ACT score 25.

Entry to Pathways:

– TOEFL/KiBT 55 / IELTS or IELTS Indicator 5.5 / PTE 39 / KIE Higher Intermediate / DET 90

Progression to Global Management and Arts and Sciences majors with TOEFL waiver:

– From 1-semester pathway: GPA 2.75 in ASU-USA Pathways non-credit courses

– From 3-semester or 3.5-semester extended pathway: GPA 2.50 in ASU-USA Pathways non-credit courses

Progression to W.P. Carey majors with a TOEFL waiver:

– From 1-semester pathway: GPA 3.00 in ASU-USA Pathways non-credit courses

– From 3-semester pathway: GPA 2.50 in ASU-USA Pathways non-credit courses
