A student seeking a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Modern Languages will choose one of the four emphases described below. All candidates not teaching with this degree must complete a minor. Courses required for teacher certification substitute for a minor (35 hours).

Entry requirements

For international students

High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma

International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university)

U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work)

English Language Requirement

TOEFL score of at least 68 (iBT) is required. In addition, a minimum score of 15 is required in each section (internet).

IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.0. in each band of the IELTS is required. If a lower score is earned in any of the five band scores, the overall score cannot be accepted.

PTE: Overall score of 47.

Application Deadline: Fall Semester – June 1st, Spring Semester – October 15th.
