Interested in an interior design degree?
Interior design incorporates the functionality and aesthetics of indoor spaces. Interior designers understand the relationship between human beings and the complex microenvironments that they use.
Students pursuing an interior design degree gain knowledge in programming, design analysis, space planning, interior construction, building codes, materials, furnishings and equipment. Reading blueprints, understanding building and fire codes, and making space accessible for all are important aspects for designers as they work with architects, electricians and building contractors.
MSU's interior design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
