Pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in studio art at Wichita State prepares students to be exceptional artists as well as versatile, creative professionals. Our studio art degrees offer a unique intersection of Applied Drawing, Ceramics Media, Community & Social Practice, Electronic Media, Painting, Photo Media, Print Media and Sculpture Media with an ultra-contemporary focus. Curriculum

The applied drawing concentration offers intensive studio work to develop a wide range of technical and conceptual skills, including traditional, mixed and digital media. The concentration requires a foundation in fundamental aspects of drawing media and rendering, and it allows students to pursue applied or fine-art drawing approaches.
