What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Health Sciences (BS-HS) is critical to meet the increasing demand for health managers. Health managers are key to the delivery of healthcare services, as they run the day-to-day operations in the healthcare arena to allow clinicians to see patients. The business of healthcare is the largest industry in the United States, with an annual expenditure of almost $3.84 trillion dollars and 18.2% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product. The efficient and effective delivery of care is integral to the process of delivering care across the "Iron Triangle" of healthcare, cost, quality, and access. Imperative to that delivery is well-trained health managers to conduct the finance, human resources, legal maintenance, and supply process for the system to function. The new BS HS graduate will be able to quickly assimilate into these roles in medical group practice management, long-term care facilities, and acute care facilities.
