Our year-round, three-year program will prepare you to qualify as an entry-level sonographer with options to concentrate in abdomen-extended and obstetrics and gynecology sonography.
In this 36-month immersive program at our Boston campus, you will work in clinical settings Â鶹Դ´ professional experts at renowned medical facilities in New England and beyond. Your bachelor’s degree will give you a strong foundation in abdominal and obstetric/gynecological as well as knowledge in breast, pediatric, musculoskeletal, and vascular medical imaging. You also will gain an in-depth understanding of internal human anatomy. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to sit for national registry exams in abdomen and obstetrics and gynecology offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Second-Year Experience
explore the intricacies of diagnostic medical sonography
learn the physics and instrumentation of sonography and sonography lab procedures
study abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, breast, and vascular sonography
Third-Year Experience
build a thorough knowledge of healthcare ethics and how to apply clinical thinking in sonography
participate as a member of a healthcare team in multiple general clinical sonography rotations
gain insights into advanced sonography problem solving
To prepare competent entry-level sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains for the Abdominal Sonography-Extended and Obstetrics and Gynecology concentrations.
A DMS professional provides direct care for patients in hospitals or outpatient facilities and must be able to apply acquired knowledge and physical tasks to skillfully perform sonography procedures.
