On campus living is currently optional, but quarantine seems to have made this year鈥檚 freshman class less ready for off campus living. We want to make sure that they have a support system in place, which they will have in the dorms.
The BS in Information Systems & Technology is a 120-credit-hour program that requires 30-credit-hours of core businesses classes, 24-credit-hours of IST specific coursework, 6 hours of approved electives and 60-credit hours of non-business courses.
The core business classes include financial and managerial accounting, legal environment of business, information systems concepts, business analytics and statistics, financial management, management and organizational behavior and more. The IST required courses include managerial applications of object-oriented programming, information systems analysis, data networks and security, database management systems and information systems design.
Outcomes and Career Outlook
Throughout the program, students will get a foundation in both the functional areas of business and in computing technologies. Students will gain technical skills in programming, database management, systems analysis and systems design and can enhance the experience by joining UMSL鈥檚 Information Technology and Cybersecurity Club (ITCC), which engages students in national competitions, hosts cyber clinics as well as guest presentations. Upon completion of the degree, students are prepared to pursue both technical and managerial careers in public and private organizations.

Students in their last year of high school should submit transcripts for all years completed thus far. Students who have completed high school must submit final transcripts and degree certificates or exam results.
Students who have studied at a college or university must submit university transcripts to date. If you have completed more than 24 credit hours at a university, you do not need to submit high school transcripts.
Transcripts are required from all high schools or universities attended.
Proof of English proficiency: This can be shown with an official TOEFL, IELTS or PTE-A score. The minimum requirements are 61 iBT TOEFL, 5.5 IELTS, or 44 PTE-A.
