This major has two options. Recreation management is the coordination of leisure activities in public and private settings. Recreational therapy is using prescribed leisure activities for rehabilitation and health interventions.
Recreation Management: Through experiential learning, students gain practical experience and professional skills. The program has a strong national reputation and produces exceptional graduates. Faculty are leaders in the field.
Recreational Therapy: OSU is the only Oklahoma institution to offer this degree. The program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Recreational Therapy Education, attracting quality students across the country.
