Qualified University of Delaware undergraduate students may begin work toward their Master of Science in Computer Science (MS) as a senior, and complete the Master鈥檚 degree in as little as one year. The program is limited to University of Delaware undergraduates pursuing a BS or BA in Computer Science, or the BS in Information Systems. In addition, consideration will be given to all Bachelor degree candidates who have a primary designation within the College of Engineering. Only full-time students at the time of application are eligible. Students must have completed at least 90 credits toward their undergraduate degree prior to actual enrollment in the program. Up to 6 credits of graduate course work (600 level and above) taken while an undergraduate, may be 鈥渄ual-counted鈥� toward the Bachelor鈥檚 and the Master鈥檚 degrees. The dual-counted courses must be established classes in computer and information sciences at the 600 level and above. Independent study or research cannot be dual-counted. For additional graduate courses to transfer they must be:
In excess of the total required for the baccalaureate degree
Grades of no less than B-
Courses for transfer must not be older than five years.
Students may choose the non-thesis or the thesis option. The thesis option may require more time.
Students must fulfill all the requirements for both degrees.
