At the University of Central Missouri, our Information Technology and Computer Information Systems master’s degree will provide you with diverse knowledge and skills in e-commerce and internet technologies, programming and web development to prepare you for an ever-changing field. Two tracks for an IT and CIS MS degree

Our MS in Computer Information Systems and Information Technology degree is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). CIS and IT master’s degree program coursework is offered in person at our Lee’s Summit campus, just a 30-minute drive from Kansas City, and features two tracks:

At the University of Central Missouri, our graduate program in Information Technology and Computer Information Systems starts with core classes in project management, software engineering and information systems. From there, you have the choice to personalize your CIS and IT master’s degree in a way that works for you.

MS in Information Technology and Computer Information Systems program options:

Software Engineering track: Gain a greater understanding of systems architecture, systems design and development strategies, and active directory design, installation and configuration.

E-commerce and Internet Technologies track: Learn how to develop content following a strong web design philosophy and how to manage web server resources with consideration for organizational and technical issues.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have an awarded bachelor's degree from either a U.S. regionally accredited 4-year institution or an international institution that upon transcript evaluation is equivalent to a 4-year regionally accredited institution. Any graduate level course work taken else where must be a 3.0 cumulative GPA or above to be admissible to UCM Graduate Studies.

Accepted English Proficiency Exams:

TOEFL exam score of 79 IBT

IELTS exam score of 6.0

Duolingo composite exam score of 120

UCM Proficiency Test of 79
