What will I learn?

We designed this doctorate primarily for individuals interested in K-12 Educational Administration or Community College/Higher Education Administration. Area III provides the opportunity for students to select their preferred emphasis.

Careers:

If you are a doctoral student, you can pursue a degree in Educational Leadership with specialization in Educational Leadership K-12 (which would include Arizona Superintendents Certification) or Education Leadership Community College/Higher Education. The Ed.D. program of study will include courses in Educational Administration, Educational Foundations, Educational Research and Evaluation, Community College/Higher Education along with field experiences and a leadership internship.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale for their bachelor鈥檚 degree to be considered for regular admission. Admitted students are expected to have undergraduate educational experiences, including general education studies, that are similar to those required for a baccalaureate at Northern Arizona University.

The minimum English proficiency scores for most programs are: 80 (TOEFL iBT) or 6.5 (IELTS). Scores must be sent directly to the Center for International Education from the Testing Institution.
