The J.D./M.B.A. program provides an opportunity to earn a dual degree through an integrated curriculum. Successful completion of the dual degree leads to the awarding of two degrees. The Juris Doctor degree is awarded by the College of Law, and the M.B.A. degree is awarded by the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation. Students enrolled in the dual degree program will not receive the J.D. or M.B.A. degree until all work required for both degrees have been completed.
JURIS DOCTOR (J.D.)
The College of Law requires the successful completion of 89 credit hours. A maximum of 15 credit hours can be online course work. The dual degree program would permit up to 12 credit hours of M.B.A. courses from the College of Business and Innovation to be applied toward the satisfaction of the 89 credit hour requirement. All courses taken in the College of Business that are to be applied towards J.D. program requirements must be earned with a grade of B (3.0) or higher.
M.B.A. DEGREE

To fulfill requirements for the M.B.A. degree, students must complete 33 semester hours at the 6000 level or above. Up to an additional 18 credit hours may be required if a student does not have an academic background in business. Students in the joint program may apply up to 12 hours of course work at the College of Law toward satisfaction of the M.B.A. program requirements. The College of Law courses must have business application. All courses taken in the College of Law that are to be applied towards M.B.A. program requirements must be earned with a grade of C (2.0) or higher.
