What will I learn?

The University offers a master of arts (M.A.) in art (studio). Options for studio concentrations include: ceramics, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and sculpture-wood/studio furniture.

The master of arts is a non-terminal, preprofessional graduate degree, recognized by NASAD and CAA. Contact the Department of Art for the policies and procedures for the M.A. degree. Entry requirements

For international students

Hold a baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution (for international students, a degree granted by a recognized institution).

Have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.7 in all undergraduate course work; or have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in the last 60 credits of undergraduate course work; or have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in the applicant鈥檚 major field of study; or have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all courses taken at the graduate level.

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL with minimum score of 550 (paper examination)
  • TOEFL with minimum score of 79 (internet-based examination)
  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 213 (computer based examination)
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
