Whichever one you choose, you鈥檒l be supported by personalized attention from faculty, diverse musical experiences, and opportunities to perform and collaborate with other artists.

Our Master of Music program offers intensive study for you to hone your skills with your voice or principal instrument. As a conservatory-style department nestled within a leading research university, our professional artist-faculty is here to inspire, support and teach you. And because we know firsthand that the music industry is highly collaborative, you鈥檒l frequently work 麻豆原创 other students, guest artists and professionals from across campus and within Wisconsin鈥檚 cultural capital.

Our Master of Music is a comprehensive graduate program perfect for students seeking intensive study to develop skills needed for a professional career and/or preparation for advanced studies. We offer many voice or primary instrument concentrations, and you can choose to pursue two concentrations. Generally, dual concentration students take three years (six semesters) to complete the degree.

Entry requirements

For international students

A baccalaureate degree, or its equivalent as determined by the UWM Center on International Education, from a regionally accredited institution.

A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent measure on a grading system that does not use a 4.0 scale.

International students without a U.S. degree must take TOEFL or equivalent. Minimum TOEFL score for admission: Traditional: 550, IBT: 79; Minimum IELTS score for admission: 6.5

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
