The Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering offers graduate programs aimed at preparing students for both professional and research careers. The department offers MS degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Software Engineering that prepare students for careers in design and technical leadership.

To be eligible for admission into a graduate program at WVU an applicant must submit official, bachelors degree transcripts from a regionally accredited institution and hold a GPA of at least 2.75.
Additional considerations for applicants:
A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or equivalent, based on a 4.0 system.
All graduate degree programs require the GRE general test, with an expected score of 3.5 or better in analytical writing, and either the 80th percentile or better on the quantitative part, or a combined score of 300 or better in (verbal + quantitative).
