The University of Alabama also has a chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society. The Department of Mathematics participates in the University Scholars Program, allowing highly motivated students to pursue closely integrated undergraduate and graduate programs that may lead to the simultaneous completion of requirements for both master鈥檚 and bachelor鈥檚 degrees. Students usually apply for admission prior to the junior or senior year.
