The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS in Nursing) undergraduate RN program will prepare you to be a science-based, compassionate nurse leader through innovative and quality educational programs for all specialties and settings of practice. Students can take classes at campuses in Milwaukee, Waukesha or Parkside.
The nursing curriculum is divided into two parts: pre-nursing and the professional major. The pre-nursing portion includes two years of prerequisite courses, general education courses and electives. Students are then required to apply to the nursing major. Students will actively engage in a curriculum that prepares professional nurses to respond to current and future health care needs and population health issues. Upon graduation, students are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to earn licensure.
The UWM School of Nursing curriculum is divided into two parts: pre-nursing and professional major.
