The Online Master of Design Studies in Historic Preservation is a 4 semester degree program that gives you the knowledge, technical expertise, and leadership skills necessary to promote and preserve historical buildings and cultural landscapes.
Designed for anyone who has interest in preserving the built environment, this program addresses the technical, cultural, and policy dimensions of historic preservation. We use Boston as our laboratory during the intensive week, but also incorporate current regional and global topics in the field.
With the blended low-residency and online format of the Online Master of Design Studies in Historic Preservation, you can complete your degree in just four semesters. Youll also have flexibility to schedule your online courses to fit your busy schedule.
As part of the degree, you will complete a final thesis project that applies research methods to address practical and real-world issues to launch a career in the growing profession of historic preservation that matches their career aspirations.

Semester 4: DST3012 Thesis *Courses include onsite intensive component. These courses are offered only in the fall semester.
